what else can i use as tiki torch fuel?
farmerbrown726 asked:
what else can i put in a tiki torch besides tiki torch fuel? Can i use kerosene?
i want to get the most bang for my buck
i don't care if there is the smell that keeps the bugs away. I can't get the fuel locally because it is out of season and i need to use the torches this month.

you can purchase lamp oil at the dollar general / family dollar stores. costs around $2.00 for a quart size bottle. this burns slow yet very effectively. it’s in the candle aisle. hope this helps. GO BUCKS!!!
I use kerosene for my outdoor torch. It work good and cheaper than torch fuel in store.
Store sell five dollars per half gallon. Buy kerosene sell about three dollars per gallon. save seven dollars from store.
Any flammable liquid will work. Kerosene, rubbing alcohol, some old cologne you **** and want to get rid of. Even gasoline but I would be very careful if you go that route.
Look under your sink for anything that has a flammable caution and it will work.
I don’t know that I would try keroscene, that might be a bit dangerous. I would try either lamp fuel (which isn’t going to keep bugs away as well) or you can purchase actual tiki fuel (citronella scented) @ lowes for about $5 for a gallon size container
